Job summary

JLL in Princeton, NJ is seeking a Laborer to support daily facility operations at client sites. The role involves material handling, waste management, equipment operation, and event setup, contributing to safe and efficient environments.

You will work with the facilities management team to maintain clean work areas, manage waste disposal including pharmaceutical waste, and assist site customers and craft personnel.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing.
  • Successful completion of Power Industrial Truck training program (or ability to complete upon hire).
  • Physical capability to lift, bend, and move safely while performing job tasks, including operation of required equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision and follow detailed instructions accurately.
  • Capability to work in varying environmental conditions including outdoor work in summer and winter weather, maintenance shop environments, and plant floor settings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general material and equipment moves throughout the facility using dollies, hand trucks, work savers, trucks, and powered industrial vehicles to support operational needs.
  • Execute comprehensive waste management activities including monitoring outside dumpsters, separating and handling recyclables, delivering and retrieving disposal containers, and performing cleanup of construction work sites.
  • Operate waste disposal equipment for grinding and shredding of pharmaceutical products, proprietary materials, confidential records, and general refuse following detailed procedures and safety protocols.
  • Prepare and monitor waste disposal equipment operations, ensuring proper functionality and performing routine cleaning and maintenance as needed.
  • Configure conference rooms and cafeteria spaces for events by arranging tables, delivering audio‑visual equipment such as flip charts and projectors, resetting spaces after use, and providing general cleanup services.
  • Perform routine facility cleaning activities and debris removal to maintain safe, professional work environments throughout assigned areas.
  • Provide hands‑on assistance to craft personnel including serving as fire watch, offering safety‑related support, and acting as an extra pair of hands for various maintenance tasks.
