Job summary

Global Roofing Group is seeking a Laborer to support roofing yard operations in Phoenix. You will organize materials, load/unload trucks, maintain inventory, and keep the yard clean and safe for field crews.

The role requires lifting 50–100 lbs, working outdoors in varying weather, and ability to start early with Monday–Friday hours. Forklift experience is a plus and reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in roofing or construction yard is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs and work in varying weather.
• Forklift certification is a plus (or willing to obtain).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Laborer supports the daily operations of the roofing yard by organizing materials, loading/unloading trucks, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. This role is critical in keeping roofing crews supplied and ready for field operations. Must be able to have your own reliable transportation and be able to work Mon-Fri from 5:00am - 1:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in receiving, organizing, and stocking roofing materials such as metal, shingles, foam, single-ply, BUR, and other inventory.

• Prepare and load roofing materials and equipment for crews based on job orders and daily schedules.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, storage areas, and equipment.

• Assist with unloading deliveries and verifying material quantities.

• Perform regular inventory checks and notify supervisor of low-stock or missing items.

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other yard equipment safely and effectively.

• Maintain proper safety practices and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

• Help with minor equipment maintenance, repairs, or cleaning as needed.

• Communicate with the operations and field teams to fulfill daily jobsite needs.

• Follow all company policies and procedures, including OSHA safety regulations.
