Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Field Service Technician I to support the clean-up and transportation preparation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste at customer sites. You will load/unload tanks and tankers, inspect equipment, and perform confined-space entry as required.

Responsibilities include safe operation of equipment such as pressure washers and forklifts, handling materials, and maintaining a clean work area while representing Reworld on-site. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to travel 10–25% (overnight travel may be required).
• Experience with hazardous/non-hazardous materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment including pressure washers and power tools per policy and OSHA rules.
• Handle and transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Remove materials from tanks, pits, or trenches with hand tools during cleanup.
• Work in confined spaces above or below ground and on or under equipment.
• Daily confined-space work, tools, and equipment maintenance as needed.
• Maintain a neat and clean working environment.
• Represent Reworld professionally at customer sites.

About The Role

The Field Service Technician I is responsible for the clean-up and preparation for transportation of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste. Field Service Technician I is expected to perform various tasks including but not limited to loading and unloading tanks and tankers with bulk liquids, complete inspection of equipment, hoses and connections as well as perform confined space entry.

Position Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts and other power tools in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA requirements, and all local, state and federal laws.
• Handling, packaging and transportation of both Hazardous and Non-Hazardous materials
• Removes materials from tanks, pits, or trenches with hand tools for industrial and environmental cleanup.
• Work in confined spaces above or below ground and on or under equipment.
• Daily work in confined space entry, mechanics, industrial hygiene instrumentation, pneumatic tools, electrical tools hand tools and/or other tools as needed.
• Maintain a neat and clean working environment.
• Acts as a professional representative of Reworld while acting in an autonomous manner at a customer site.
• Complies with OSHA Health and Safety Rules and completes required training provided by Reworld.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to travel 10-25% of the time, including overnight travel.

Physical Demands of the Role

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
• Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
• Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
• Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
• Consistently work in various weather conditions

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 18.85 - 25.05 USD per hour
