Job summary

Granite Construction is hiring a Laborer in Mission, Texas to support concrete crews on demolition, building, highway and heavy construction sites. This position offers on-the-job training and exposure to diverse projects with safety at the forefront.

You will perform hands-on tasks, mix and pour concrete, level surfaces, and assist with form work while following directions and working in varying weather conditions. Physical stamina is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Must have construction experience / heavy construction preferred.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Measures distances from grade stakes, drives stakes, and stretches tight line.
• Bolts, nails, a-lines, and blocks up under forms.
• Signals operators of construction equipment to align and position machinery.
• Levels earth to grade specifications and finishes concrete surfaces.
• Performs various tasks with hand tools, including sawing lumber and dismantling forms.
