Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a Laborer to support concrete crews on demolition, building, highway and heavy construction sites. On-the-job training is offered, with emphasis on safety and skill development.

The role requires physical work, exposure to outdoors and the ability to lift heavy loads. You will assist with forms, grading, mixing concrete and assisting skilled crews, while following directions and maintaining quality under varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have construction experience; heavy construction preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience required.

Responsibilities

• Measure distances from grade stakes and set stakes.
• Signal equipment operators to align machinery with grade specs.
• Level earth to finalize grade with hand tools.
• Mix concrete using portable mixer and finish freshly poured surfaces.
• Erect scaffolding, shoring, and braces; assist formwork.
• Perform dexterous tasks with hand tools including sawing and dismantling forms.
