Job summary

My Hurlburt in Florida is seeking a hands-on lodge maintenance worker for the Commando Inn Lodging. The role is Regular with guaranteed hours and requires the ability to operate basic power equipment and use common hand tools.

You will read simple signs and follow written instructions, lift up to 50 pounds, and work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. You will be evaluated on competency in basic maintenance tasks and must meet background requirements and be able to work flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have manual skill and knowledge to operate simple power equipment (e.g., powered push lawnmowers, leaf blowers, weed trimmers, low-pressure sprayer).
• Knowledge of basic hand tools such as hand-saws, hatchets, clippers.
• Must be able to read and follow simple signs and written/oral instructions.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions.
• Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to pass a Tier 1 background check.

Must be able to read and follow simple signs and specific written and/or oral instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps. Physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds and be able to occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background.
