Job summary

Qualifications

• Visually inspect product for foreign material and damaged product.
• Make, fill, seal and label boxes, bags and other containers for product.
• Stack and palletize finished product containers with proper documentation for each load.
• Dump peanuts in process.
• Transport raw material and semi-finished product or supplies between departments to support machine operators.

Duties And Responsibilities

The Production Laborer will be responsible for performing a variety of jobs throughout the production department including but not limited to visually inspect product, box and stack finished product, dump product, prepare packaging, and labeling, removing foreign material from raw and roasted peanuts.

• 1. Visually inspect product for foreign material and damaged product
• Make, fill, seal and label boxes, bags and other containers for product
• Stack and palletize finished product containers with proper documentation for each load.
• Dump peanuts in process
• Transport raw material and semi-finished product or supplies between departments or buildings to supply machine operators with materials for processing. Support Operator in the area working.
• Keep work area supplied with boxes and materials for upcoming load.
• Must keep work area and other parts of plant in a clean orderly manner.
• While performing these duties, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to fingers to handle/ feel or pull; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. You will occasionally lift and/or move heavy equipment or parts, 40-50 pounds unassisted, or assist others in moving shifting or positioning heavier objects.
• This employee is subject to work in outside environmental conditions and around fumes, odors, dusts and mists. They will be subject to hazards such as working around moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemical and extreme heat and cold and work in small confined spaces or at high levels.
• All employees are directly responsible for the Quality of Olam Edible Nuts products. Each employee must perform their job function in accordance to the GMP Rules and the Sanitation, Safety and Food Safety Programs.
• Must follow safe work practices and comply with all company, federal and state rules and regulations which apply to job, including but not limited to, right to Know, emergency evacuation, electrical safety, confined space, blood borne pathogens, and lockout/tagout.
• Execute special projects and other job-related activities as directed.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
