Vonachen Group is hiring a Combustible Dust Cleaner to maintain a clean and safe environment, operating aerial lifts and following OSHA standards. The role includes cleaning, inspections, and safety logging on a full-time daytime shift in Des Moines, IA, with full benefits.

We seek reliable, detail-oriented individuals with a valid driver’s license and strong communication skills. Daily Pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine and scheduled cleaning of areas where combustible dust accumulates.
• Inspect work areas for potential dust hazards and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
• Operate aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and other elevated work platforms safely and in accordance with company and OSHA guidelines.
• Use approved cleaning tools and methods (e.g., vacuum systems, non-sparking tools) to minimize dust dispersion.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures when cleaning near energized equipment.
• Maintain accurate cleaning logs and safety checklists.
• Wear required PPE (respirators, harnesses, protective clothing) at all times during cleaning operations.
• Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training related to combustible dust hazards and lift operation

Job Details

Job Summary: The Combustible Dust Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment by removing combustible dust from designated areas using approved cleaning methods and equipment. This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, including proper operation of aerial lifts and compliance with OSHA standards for combustible dust hazards.

Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and scheduled cleaning of areas where combustible dust accumulates, including overhead structures, equipment surfaces, and ventilation systems.

Operate aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and other elevated work platforms safely and in accordance with company and OSHA guidelines.

• Inspect work areas for potential dust hazards and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
• Use approved cleaning tools and methods (e.g., vacuum systems, non-sparking tools) to minimize dust dispersion.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures when cleaning near energized equipment.
• Maintain accurate cleaning logs and safety checklists.

Job responsibilities may include but not limited to:

• Painting/Spray Painting
• Safely operate a forklift
• Operate industrial powered vehicles (e.g., golf carts or Gators)
• Operate aerial lifts to perform tasks above safe reach of a ladder (e.g., scissor lift, articulating lift)
• Operate, pneumatic, battery powered and electric hand tools
• Assist in the performance of building/equipment maintenance duties (e.g., light-duty construction, fabrication, recycling, painting, filter changes, fabrication machinery support, and coolant services)
• Maintain preventive maintenance program for designated list of equipment (e.g., powered vehicles, power tools, hand-held tools/equipment
• Perform minor repairs to designated equipment to minimize downtime and repair costs
• Maintain a safe work environment following all required safety regulations and protocols
• Complete other duties as assigned
