Job summary

Materion Laborer position in Utah supports plant operations and shipping/receiving. You will assist with hazardous chemical offloading, prepare shipments by cleaning, labeling, banding and palletizing, and help with general housekeeping.

Responsibilities include forklift operation, supporting tailings pond operations, and providing cross-functional plant support. A valid driver's license, basic computer skills, and 18+ years old are required.

At Materion, everyone is included, respected and offered opportunity to grow. Join us! Under the direction of the Services Supervisor, the Laborer position provides daily support to plant operations and shipping/receiving.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Assist with hazardous chemical offloading from truck and railcar
• Prepare product shipments by cleaning, labeling, banding and palletizing
• Support tailings pond operations
• Perform general plant housekeeping
• Operate a forklift in shipping receiving activities
• Provide support to plant operations in various areas of the plant
• Perform confined space work

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid drivers license
• Basic computer skills
• Previous work-related skill, knowledge or experience preferred
• MSHA certification preferred
• Mobile equipment experience preferred
• Applicants must be capable of working in a team environment
• Effective and clear communications and following work rules and safety rules are essential
• English comprehension - speaking, reading and writing is critical
• Applicants must qualify for the Employment Eligibility Verification required by the United States Immigration & Naturalization Service
