Job summary

Layton Construction is hiring for an entry-level position on site to support structural construction, heavy concrete work, demolition, and framing. You will assist craft workers, load and unload materials, and help maintain safe, clean work areas while following safety policies.

The role emphasizes growth potential, mentoring, and opportunities to participate in community service and company activities alongside a strong safety program.

Qualifications

  • Have minimum tools associated with trade.

Job description

Summary

Duties

  • Ensures that “Constructing with Integrity” is delivered by working with honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work.
  • Provide support to other craft workers on project site of structural construction, heavy concrete construction, demolition, and framing.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas (sweep debris, gather and discard trash, scrap iron and wood, remove snow and ice).
  • Identify hazards associated with task assignments and ask questions when clarification is needed.
  • Load/unload materials as needed.
  • Have minimum tools associated with trade.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety.

Qualifications

  • Performs essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, accurately, and safely with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing threat of harm to self or others.
