Job summary

York Building Products in Maryland is seeking a Laborer to perform general manual labor tasks, including loading, unloading, lifting and moving material. Laborers also assist with a variety of functions related to manual labor tasks as needed.

The role requires working outdoors and indoors, following safety regulations, operating heavy equipment when needed, and lifting up to 90 lbs. It is a full-time, non-exempt position with opportunities for training and career growth.

• Understand and follow all Federal, State, Local, and Corporate safety regulations and policies.
• Climb ladders, reaching overhead, bending, pulling on wrenches, and lifting up to 90 lbs.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

• Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.
• The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.
• Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and/or machinery.

Physical Capabilities

• Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 90 pounds.
• Capable of working at height and in confined spaces.
• Capable of shoveling wet, sticky, material for extended periods of time.
