Job summary

A leading defense services company is seeking individuals for general manual labor positions in Chula Vista, CA. Candidates will assist in various tasks including lifting, repairing, and maintaining Navy shore facilities and vessels. Position Location: Chula Vista, CA

Summary: Performs variety of general work on U.S. Navy shore facilities, waterborne vessels, surface ships and/or submarines. Tasks will be assigned by the Project Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Performs a variety of general manual labor tasks including, but not limited to, lifting and moving materials, loading and unloading vehicles, surface preparation work, and other activities in helping or assisting mode.
• Assists mechanic in simple repairs on machinery.
• Perform housekeeping efforts to maintain cleanliness of the worksite.
• Delivering materials as required.
• Perform duties as Fire Watch.
• Participates in special projects as required.
• Employees may be required to travel to work to other locations.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to read and understand material safety data sheets (MDS).
• Able to follow safety procedures.
