Job summary

The Vincit Group is seeking a Laborer to support manufacturing, demolition, and installation of equipment. You will assist in fabricating, installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and electrical components, while supplying materials and maintaining a clean work area.

Responsibilities include moving tools and parts, disassembling and reassembling equipment, and reading plans to determine work activities. Basic hand and power tools knowledge is required.

Qualifications

  • Education: Preferred high school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Required—some work experience in a manufacturing or agriculture environment. Preferred—1–2 years of relevant experience.
  • Special Skills/Certifications: Have knowledge of basic hand tools and their use.
  • Additional Knowledge: Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other areas.
  • Disassemble broken or defective equipment to facilitate repair and reassemble equipment when repairs are complete.
  • Install or replace machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments, using hand or power tools.
  • Hold or supply tools, parts, equipment, and supplies for other workers.
  • Position vehicles, machinery, equipment, physical structures, and other objects for assembly or installation, using hand tools, power tools, and moving equipment.
  • Adjust, maintain, and repair tools, equipment, and machines, and assist more skilled workers with similar tasks.
  • Adjust, connect, or disconnect piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand or power tools.
  • Clean or lubricate vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.
  • Assemble and maintain physical structures, using hand or power tools.
  • Clean or prepare construction or manufacturing sites to eliminate hazards.
  • Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.
  • Complete special projects as requested; perform other duties as assigned.
