Job summary

Tecta America is seeking a Laborer to support day-to-day field operations on roofing projects. You will follow supervisor instructions, perform hard physical labor, and help ensure quality standards are met on site.

Responsibilities include assisting skilled roofers and foremen, maintaining equipment, and performing assigned duties safely, with overtime hours common depending on job needs. Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1-2 years sheet metal experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform hard physical labor.

Job Functions

• Complete work in a professional, safe manner and to the specification, & satisfaction of the customer
• Assist Skilled Roofers and Foremen
• To ensure that proper maintenance procedures are performed on all company property and equipment used on the job
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential)

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 1-2 years sheet metal experience
• Must possess hand-eye coordination to use hand tools
• Ability to perform hard physical labor
• Ability to lift, unaided, 50 pounds

Occupational Health And Safety

• Compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control
• Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety
• Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace

Working Conditions

Physical surroundings: Field environment with exposure to heights, noise and temperature. Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, both hot and cold and in windy conditions. Physical Effort: Must possess hand-eye coordination to use hand tools. Ability to perform hard physical labor. Ability to lift, unaided, 50 pounds. Walking, turning, stooping and reaching for and carrying materials, stepping over and around obstacles, climbing ladders and scaffolding. Must hear well enough to understand oral directions. Must see to read forms, labels, directions, prints, and specifications.
