Job summary

COST of Wisconsin is hiring for a hands-on Shop & Field Laborer in Berryville, AR, with work in MO as needed. The role blends metal fabrication, welding, and general construction tasks in a steel shop and on project sites. Expect seasonal travel and a mix of shop and field duties, including blueprint reading and material handling.

Minimum 1 year in construction or labor, OSHA-10, and ability to work physically in varying weather are required; forklift or related experience is a plus.

Location: Berryville, Arkansas Steel Shop and field work in both Arkansas and Missouri.

COST of Wisconsin is looking for a hands‑on, hardworking individual to join our Berryville steel shop team! This position offers a mix of metal fabrication, welding, and general construction work, with occasional travel to project sites throughout Arkansas and Missouri.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Assist with metal fabrication, welding, and custom steel projects.
• Operate shop equipment, hand tools, forklifts, and other machinery.
• Support general construction activities, including concrete work, forming, and layout.
• Read basic blueprints and follow project specifications.
• Help prepare, move, and load materials while maintaining a safe work environment.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of construction or labor‑intensive experience (combinations of education and experience considered).
• OSHA-10 certification required prior to hire.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting and working in varying weather conditions.
• Welding, concrete, fabrication, or equipment operation experience is a plus!

POSITION DETAILS

• Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Location: Berryville, AR Steel Shop and jobsites in both AR and MO
• Overtime and occasional regional travel may be required.
• Forklift certification provided!
• Preferred (not required): experience with welding, concrete, fiberglass, or artistic construction; forklift or light equipment operation.
