Job summary

Jeff’s Good Works LLC is seeking a Construction Technician to support carpenters and project leads on residential construction and remodeling projects in Bemidji, MN. This is a hands-on role for someone dependable, eager to learn, and capable of following directions safely and efficiently.

You will help prepare sites, tools, equipment, and materials, and you will contribute to framing, decks, walls, floors, and other components.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn construction and remodeling skills.
• Dependable and on time.
• Able to follow instructions and communicate with coworkers.
• Able to safely use tools after proper instruction.
• Valid driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and ability to travel to jobsites.
• Able to regularly lift 50 pounds and occasionally handle heavier materials.
• Able to work safely on ladders and around construction equipment.
• Attention to detail and safety.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist carpenters and project leads with construction and remodeling work.

• Load, unload, carry, and organize materials.
• Assist with framing, decks, stairs, walls, floors, roofs, windows, doors, trim, flooring, cabinets, and other projects.
• Measure and cut materials as directed.
• Safely use hand and power tools appropriate to your training and experience.
• Set up ladders, work platforms, and other equipment.
• Keep jobsites clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow instructions from the project lead, foreman, or owner.
• Learn construction methods, materials, measurements, and safety practices.
• Pay attention to what needs to happen next and help prepare for the next step.
• Communicate well and work cooperatively with the crew.
• Take pride in doing quality work.
