Job summary

Hire Up Staffing Services is seeking a dependable Pallet Sorter for Baytown, TX. This hands-on warehouse role involves sorting pallets, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining clean, safe work areas in a fast-paced setting.

The position offers pay of $18/hour with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Candidates should be comfortable lifting 35–75 lbs and following safety guidelines to keep production flowing smoothly.

Qualifications

• Ability to repeatedly lift and handle 35-75 lbs.
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, turning, and pivoting throughout the shift.
• Basic math, reading, and communication skills.

• Ability to accurately complete paperwork and follow written instructions.
• Strong awareness of workplace safety and surroundings.
• Good balance and hand-eye-foot coordination.
• Dependable attendance and willingness to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Sort and inspect wooden pallets based on established quality standards.
• Remove trash, debris, and other unwanted materials from pallets before they are returned to customers.
• Stack pallets safely and efficiently according to facility guidelines.
• Load and unload pallets and other materials from trailers by hand.
• Move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse and storage areas.
• Inspect loads to ensure materials are properly positioned and secured.
• Identify damaged or non-conforming pallets and materials.
• Assist with coordinating trailer movements using the facility's yard management system.
• Complete production paperwork and inventory documentation accurately.
• Communicate regularly with the Shift Lead or On-Site Manager regarding workflow, production, and safety.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards throughout the shift.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Follow all company safety procedures and workplace guidelines.
