Vortex Companies is seeking a reliable Construction Laborer to support our job sites with a range of physical tasks. The role suits someone who enjoys hands-on outdoor work and being part of a team delivering real results.

Responsibilities include performing sewer maintenance tasks, operating equipment, and loading materials. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be willing to work overtime or travel as needed. Training is available.

Qualifications

• Experience in physical labor/outdoor construction preferred.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Capable of following instructions and on-the-job training.

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Laborer to support our job sites by performing a variety of physical tasks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, working outdoors, and being part of a team that builds real results.

Duties include but are not limited to: Willing to train the right candidate!

• Performs all work tasks required to support execution of sewer maintenance, inspection and/or rehabilitation pipeline tasks
• Operation and maintenance of all equipment
• Makes routine decisions and takes direction from supervision.
• Load, unload, and move materials and equipment
• Able to work in the elements - extreme cold and heat for long duration.

Education and Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working in a physical labor position and/or outdoor construction preferred.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Capable of following instructions and on-the-job training.

• Basic or advanced math skills
• Ability to operate a variety of simple and complex tools.
• Can lift, push/pull, carry 50 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime and out of town.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, D.O.T. physical and driver’s license check for past 36 months without any suspensions or major traffic violations (D.O.T. requirements)

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday and includes shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays - Flexibility is required as job duties demand.

Salary Range

• $22.00- $25.00, depending on position qualifications, job related skills and experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
