Laboratory Ventilation Specialist

Job Summary:
To assist in maintaining a laboratory ventilation program designed to provide containment of biohazardous aerosols and/or volatile chemicals used in the workplace. To diagnose program performance problems, identify potential contamination hazards and perform required certifications for biological safety areas.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs certification tests on biological safety areas and systems as required by applicable regulatory agency guidelines.
• Repairs or performs other corrective actions necessary to obtain acceptable certification.
• Generates and maintains appropriate records, reports and certification data for laboratory ventilation systems in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Works with other departments to ensure maintenance is performed with minimal disruption of laboratory activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Hourly Pay Range: $16.00 - 22.24

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
