Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Technologist - Chemistry for night shifts. You will join a 48-person team in the Chemistry area, working with Cobas 8000 analyzers to perform automated and manual tests in a 24-hour facility.

The role includes weekend and holiday rotation, with comprehensive compensation and benefits. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology and NYS licensure; ASCP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting (ASCP certification preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or equivalent curriculum required.
• New York State CLT licensure from NYS Education Department required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of automated and manual tests to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment.
• Work in a state-of-the-art 24-hour facility with rotating shifts and weekends as needed.

You will perform a variety of automated and manual tests and related duties to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, following established procedures. In state-of-the-art 24-hour facilities, you'll find real opportunities to maximize your time and training with complex & diverse caseloads working to the fullest capacity of your license. This position is Monday to Friday from 12:00am - 8:00am with alternate weekends and rotating holidays. Location is our Columbia campus in Upper Manhattan/Washington Heights.

Preferred Criteria

• Two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting ASCP certification
• Required Criteria A Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent curriculum)
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York State Education department
• Salary Range: $54.72-$68.06/Hourly
