Laboratory Technician - Virus Operations 1st Shift 7:15am - 3:45pm

Join Zoetis as a Laboratory Technician - Virus Operations on the 1st shift, from 7:15am to 3:45pm, at our Lincoln, NE facility.

About Zoetis: Zoetis is the world's largest manufacturer and supplier of animal pharmaceuticals, dedicated to advancing care for animals and improving health outcomes.

Position Overview: Work in a manufacturing laboratory setting, utilizing mammalian cell culture practices and techniques. Follow GMP process documentation, adhere to safety policies related to biological and chemical components, and maintain product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform processes and operate equipment for viral antigen production.
  • Apply good cell culture practices for viral and antibody production.
  • Operate downstream processing equipment such as tangential flow filtration, hollow-fiber filtration, and sterile filtration.
  • Identify mechanical issues and maintain equipment using knowledge of bioreactors/fermenters.
  • Complete process documentation accurately and follow safety policies.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; BS in Biological sciences preferred. Experience in biological production or aseptic manufacturing is a plus. Skills in mechanical troubleshooting, cell culture techniques, and familiarity with bioreactors are desirable.

Physical Requirements: Exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, noise, live steam, temperature fluctuations, biohazards, and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
