The role supports laboratory maintenance, preparation of solutions, and supplies ordering, with opportunities to contribute to various divisions based on needs. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and some relevant coursework or training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; equivalency allowed per JHU policy.
• Some science coursework or technical institute training preferred.

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician who will perform routine laboratory processes and follows routine protocols under close supervision.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate standard equipment.


• Use standard procedures for specific laboratory tests and preparation techniques.


• Assist with laboratory maintenance, prepare solutions, and order supplies.


• Identify and report problems in the completion of routine lab processes.


• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or graduation equivalent.


• Additional education may substitute for required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some science coursework and/or training certificate from a technical institute.

Starting Salary Range: $15.80 - $23.85 HRLY ($37,000 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)
