Job summary

Chemify Ltd is hiring a Laboratory Technician focused on Purification or Analytical workflows in a fast-growing automated chemistry lab. The role involves optimizing purification processes using flash and prep-HPLC, as well as supporting analytical data acquisition with NMR and UPLC-MS.

Candidates should have hands-on laboratory experience, strong numeracy and attention to detail, and fluency in English. Right to work in the UK is required; some sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Education: HNC/HND in Applied Sciences/Chemistry or a relevant degree.
• Significant hands-on laboratory experience (academic or industry).
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

• Automation & Innovation: collaborate with software/hardware teams to test updates and troubleshoot proprietary technology.
• Lab Operations: prepare mobile phases/buffers and maintain accurate digital records (ELNs).
• Process Improvement: lead internal projects to improve laboratory efficiency and high-throughput workflows.
• Ownership: work in a flat structure and take ownership of scientific direction.

• Proactivelydevelopfaster,moreefficientpurificationworkflows.

Path2:AnalyticalSpecialist

• ProvideexpertinsightsintoanalyticaldataacquisitionwithNMRandUPLC-MS.
• ManagesamplepreparationandsubmissionforUPLCandNMR.
• Diagnoseinstrumentissuesandperformroutinesystemmaintenance.

KeyResponsibilities
