Position: Laboratory Technician - Lee Branch Laboratory - AM (025)

Description:

  • Perform duties related to the preparation, distribution, cataloging, and storage of lab specimens for testing.
  • Adhere to departmental specimen identification policies and quality controls.
  • Utilize lab and hospital information systems.
  • Provide general administrative support to the laboratory staff, such as filing, record maintenance, responding to client calls, and mail delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Biological Science or a health-related field required, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • Depending on the unit/department or if working directly with patients, Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
