As a Laboratory Technician in Training Part-time in the Electron Microscopy department, you will train in preparing histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by pathologists. Work is performed in accordance with standard laboratory practice under limited supervision.
Responsible for becoming proficient in day-to-day operations of Lab Services; specifically:
Bachelor’s or Associates degree from a four or two year-college or university with at least 12 semester hours biology and chemistry Certification eligible
Histology-specific and Laboratory Technical skills.Prefer 2 years of lab experience but not required
Proficient in MS Word
Eligible to sit for the National HT/HTL exam after 1 year of employment
Monday-Friday 7:00am-12:00pm
