Job summary

ASRT, Inc. is recruiting a Laboratory Technician II to support the CDC Biorepository in Lawrenceville, GA. The role focuses on sample management, storage operations, and data/reporting tasks within the Division of Core Laboratory Services and Response (DCLSR).

The incumbent will perform routine laboratory duties under established SOPs, maintain cold-chain integrity, and contribute to quality management and IT/data systems. A bachelor’s degree and PCR experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in microbiology, biology, chemistry, basic medical science, or environmental laboratory science.
• 2-5 years of equivalent experience.
• Experience with PCR techniques and related workflows.
• Experience using LIMS and MS Office for reports.

Responsibilities

• Performs non-research biological science work in public health areas.
• Maintains cold-chain and chain-of-custody during sample disposition.
• Utilizes LIMS to ensure accurate data entry and records.
• Assists with sample storage consolidation and capacity planning.
• Prepares routine reports with charts and spreadsheets.
