Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan's Technology Center in the United States seeks a laboratory analyst to perform routine chemical and metallurgical analyses at the assigned site, collect samples, prepare them for tests and maintain instruments.

Requirements include math/chemistry knowledge, strong communication skills and safety awareness; a high school diploma or GED is preferred. The role offers a robust benefits package and potential for career progression in a 24/7 operation.

What You Will Do

What You Bring To Freeport

• Demonstrated knowledge of math, chemistry and/or computer skills appropriate to the assignment
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Experience with mathematic and/or numbers based tasks
• Experience with chemical sample preparation and/or analysis
• Ability to follow detailed, technical instructions
• Experience with tedious or repetitive motions or tasks
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Strong proficiency using MS Excel to develop and maintain spreadsheets reports, and other documentation

What We Offer You

The estimated pay range for this role is currently$21.00 - $29.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
