Job summary

LGC Biosearch Technologies in Alexandria, Minnesota designs, manufactures, tests, and supports laboratory instrumentation and consumables for global scientists. The Laboratory Technician I contributes to manufacturing, instrument validation, and quality control within the Alexandria site, collaborating across departments to ensure product quality.

The role emphasizes adherence to quality standards (ISO 9001), documentation, and ongoing professional development while supporting customers

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific field.
• 0-2 years of related post‑degree laboratory experience.
• Strong organizational, documentation skills, and careful attention to detail.
• Responds as requested to address important initiatives and special projects; able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of standard laboratory techniques and experience using a variety of laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform Laboratory Processes to produce high-quality products for internal and external users.
• Document and present results to senior team members.
• Conduct required chemistry test procedures for validation of instrumentation prior to sale.
• Assist Quality Control procedures for consumable manufacturing efforts.
• Manage laboratory supplies and assist in equipment maintenance and calibration tasks.
• Follow laboratory safety practices and work with the Safety Manager on new procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
