Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing America is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to support routine laboratory operations in Memphis, TN. The role involves sample handling, preparation, and documentation under QA programs, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Qualified candidates will have a science-focused education and basic lab experience, and be able to work Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm. Pay starts at $18/hour with strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: 2–4 year degree in science preferred; HS diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Chemistry coursework, basic laboratory experience.
• Ability to work in a laboratory setting and follow QA procedures.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves samples from Sample Control for analysis.
• Performs sample preparation including steps as needed.
• Aliquot samples, Spike and trace samples, Prepare reagents, Bottle samples, Prepare concentrations.
• Separation and sonication for sample processing.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and document results.

Job Description

The Laboratory Technician I, using general laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing America’s Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures, supports laboratory operations through general maintenance of laboratory and supply storage areas, equipment, instruments, and supplies.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Retrieves samples from Sample Control for analysis.

Performs sample preparation which may include, but is not limited to, a

Combination Of The Following Methods

• Aliquot samples
• Spike and trace samples
• Prepare reagents
• Bottle samples
• Prepare concentrations
• Separation
• Sonication
• Liquid rack set up
• Microbiology work

Resolves discrepancies and anomalies to ensure samples are properly labeled.

Prepares general laboratory paperwork such as recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, and laboratory logbooks.

Washes laboratory glassware to prepare for next day’s samples.

Stocks laboratory supplies.

Cleans work area(s) to maintain a safe working environment.

Builds bottle kits to provide to clients and assists other laboratory areas as needed.

Qualifications

Education/Experience (BMQ)

Education: 2 to 4 year degree in science preferred; HS diploma or GED required

Experience: Chemistry coursework, basic laboratory experience

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with overtime as needed.

Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Memphis, TN.

Pay rate: $18/hr
