Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing USA is seeking an Entry-Level Laboratory Technician I to support laboratory operations, equipment, and sample handling in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include sample retrieval, preparation, LIMS usage, and maintaining lab paperwork.

Strong organization, basic chemistry knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required. Position is full-time Monday–Friday, 1:30 pm–10:00 pm; pay range $18–$20/hr with a 5% shift differential for 2nd shift, plus

Responsibilities

• Retrieve samples from Sample Control for analysis.
• Perform sample preparation including aliquotting, spiking, preparing reagents and bottles, and preparing concentrations.
• Learn and use LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
• Resolve discrepancies to ensure samples are properly labeled.
• Document analysis results, track samples, and maintain lab notebooks.
• Wash glassware and stock supplies.
• Clean work areas to maintain a safe environment.
• Assist other laboratory areas as needed.

Laboratory Technician I (Entry-Level)

Job Description

The Laboratory Technician I, using general laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing America’s Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures, supports laboratory operations through general maintenance of laboratory and supply storage areas, equipment, instruments, and supplies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Retrieving samples from Sample Control for analysis.
• Performing sample preparation which may include, but is not limited to, a combination of the following methods:
  • Aliquot samples
  • Spike and trace samples
  • Prepare reagents
  • Bottle samples
  • Prepare concentrations
  • Separation
  • Sonication
  • Liquid rack set up
• Learning and using the Eurofins Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Resolving discrepancies and anomalies to ensure samples are properly labeled.
• Preparing general laboratory paperwork such as recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, and laboratory logbooks.
• Washing laboratory glassware to prepare for next day’s samples.
• Stocking laboratory supplies.
• Cleaning work area(s) to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assisting other laboratory areas as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ):

• High school diploma or equivalent
• High school Chemistry coursework preferred
• Basic laboratoryexperiencepreferred
• Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Samples will be in coolers packed in ice.

Ability and/or Skills (BMQ):

Additional Information

Requirements:

• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

Position is full-time Monday – Friday 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm.

Pay range:$18-20/hr. Plus 5% shift differential when working 2nd shift.
