Job summary

Air Liquide USA LLC is seeking a Laboratory Technician for the Austin, TX area to perform daily analytical testing including ICP-MS, GC-MS and wet lab analyses. You will log samples, manage data, and ensure proper waste disposal and safety practices in a collaborative lab environment.

The role requires flexibility for holiday/weekend coverage, overtime and night shifts, and strong teamwork with a focus on safety and quality. Experience with LIMS and instrument calibration is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma with 5 years lab experience or AA with 3 years in chemistry or related field or BA in chemistry with no experience.
• Ability to work in a teamwork environment.
• Good computer skills and safety-conscious work habits.
• Availability for holiday and weekend coverage.
• Overtime and night shift flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Running samples on a daily basis using ICP-MS, classical wet lab analyses, GC-MS, and particle counters.
• Sample login and tracking.
• Material and kit handling.
• Proper disposal of hazardous waste.
• Reviewing data and reporting results to the customer.
• Supporting the lab team through labware washing.
• Transporting samples between labs.
• Entering test results into data management systems timely and accurately.
• Filling bottle kits.
• Following SOPs.
• Lab cleaning and organization.
• Sample preparation.
• Sample login and management using LIMS.
• Analysis of semiconductor grade chemicals for trace impurities or assay.
• Routine waste disposal.
• Preparation of high quality standards for instrument calibration.
• Calibration of analytical instruments.
• Commitment to the safe handling of chemicals.
• Collaborating to put together results, review data quality, and report results to customers.
• Submitting quality and safety near misses.
• Staying up to date on all lab trainings.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of safety and quality.
