Job summary

Garden Remedies, Inc. (GRI) is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support daily lab tasks, assist with extraction and processing of plant materials, and monitor inventory levels in a cannabis production environment.

The Lab Technician will help maintain SOP compliance, ensure safety, and support quality control testing to uphold a high-quality product. Prior lab experience and ability to lift up to 40 pounds are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Chemistry or a related field; may consider a minimum of three years related experience in lieu of degree.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Knowledge of current technologies and methodologies and demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with applicable protocols.
• Strong inter-personal skills with the proven ability to communicate clearly.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Good personal hygiene, physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required; ability to lift up to forty pounds.
• Ability to think on your feet and use problem solving skills when the situation arises.
• Strong history of meeting performance goals and being accountable.
• The candidate must pass the state required background check.

• Clean and sterilize lab supplies.
• Assist with shipping and receiving of laboratory items.
• May perform routine, minor maintenance of small equipment.
• Preform pre and post extraction of plant material.
• May assist with quality control testing and procedures to ensure a consistent high-quality product.
• Utilizes laboratory equipment according to SOPs and follows all safety guidelines.
• Maintains inventory including re-stocking chemicals, machine parts and other various laboratory supplies.
• Maintain a respectful and business-like work environment.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workplace.
• General knowledge of seed-to-sale tracker reporting and may be assigned access to system.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The responsibilities of the Lab Technical Assistant for Garden Remedies, Inc. (GRI) broadly embrace the key areas described below. The Lab Technician will assist Laboratory staff with daily tasks, facilitating the extraction and processing of plant materials. The Lab Technician will also monitor and maintain stock inventory levels. This position supports other duties in the Lab as assigned to help maintain a consistent, high-quality medical cannabis line fully consistent with GRI's Standard Operating Procedures.
