Job summary

Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories Environment testing lab in Lancaster, PA is hiring a Laboratory Technician I. You will support routine lab operations, perform sample preparation, and help maintain safe lab conditions. Training may be required at the Richmond, VA lab; work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Pay range is $18–$21 per hour, with the understanding that actual base pay varies by experience, skill set, and location.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves samples from Sample Control for analysis.
• Performs sample preparation using various methods (aliquot samples, spike and trace samples, prepare reagents, bottle samples, prepare concentrations, separation, sonication, liquid rack setup).
• Resolves discrepancies and anomalies to ensure proper labeling.
• Prepares general laboratory paperwork (recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, lab logs).
• Washes laboratory glassware and stocks supplies.
• Cleans work areas for a safe environment.
• Assists other laboratory areas as needed.

Job Description

Position Summary: The Laboratory Technician I, using general laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing America's Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures, supports laboratory operations through general maintenance of laboratory and supply storage areas, equipment, instruments, and supplies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Retrieves samples from Sample Control for analysis.
• Performs sample preparation which may include, but is not limited to, a
• combination of the following methods:
  • Aliquot samples
  • Spike and trace samples
  • Prepare reagents
  • Bottle samples
  • Prepare concentrations
  • Separation
  • Sonication
  • Liquid rack set up
• Resolves discrepancies and anomalies to ensure samples are properly labeled.
• Prepares general laboratory paperwork such as recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, and laboratory logbooks.
• Washes laboratory glassware to prepare for next day’s samples.
• Stocks laboratory supplies.
• Cleans work area(s) to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assists other laboratory areas as needed.

This role will be located at the Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories Environment testing lab in Lancaster, PA. Must be willing to train offsite at the Richmond, VA Industrial Hygiene lab.

Position is full-time Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Pay range:$18-21/hr.

Please note - Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: High school Chemistry coursework, basic laboratory experience

Must be willing to train in Richmond, VA.
