Job Description

ProSidian Seeks a Laboratory Technician | Geotechnical Lab Testing & Quality Control [PCBOCC0040039] for Program Support on a Exempt 1099 Contract: No Overtime Pay Basis. This technical role is located within the CONUS region, supporting Pasco County in enhancing the performance, resilience, and sustainability of its water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems through comprehensive engineering, planning, environmental, and digital transformation services.

We are looking for Laboratory Technician candidates with relevant experience in Energy, Sustainability & Infrastructure sectors, including technical expertise, to support professional services engagements for clients such as Pasco County Board of County Commissioners (PCBOCC). This role is primarily a Technical Element or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) position in Geotechnical Lab Testing & Quality Control; however, ProSidian reserves the right to convert this to a full-time employed W-2 position.

Job Overview

Provide services and support as a Geotechnical Laboratory Technician in the Energy, Sustainability & Infrastructure Industry Sector, focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for clients like PCBOCC and Pasco County Utilities, generally located within the CONUS region and across the Southeast.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform geotechnical lab tests on soil, rock, and construction materials.
  • Ensure samples are processed, logged, and analyzed according to standard methods.
  • Calibrate lab equipment and maintain QA/QC protocols.
Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or associate degree in lab science or geotech; ACI certification preferred.

Education / Experience Requirements:

  • 2–5 years in soil/materials testing for civil or utility projects.
Skills Required
  • Atterberg limits, grain size, moisture-density, unconfined compression, Proctor testing.
Competencies
  • Precision, safety, documentation, and consistency.
Ancillary Roles
  • Prepare lab summary sheets and input results into data systems.
  • Assist in scheduling and receiving field samples for testing.
Additional Details
  • Support engineering evaluations and construction material verification.
