Job summary

Vireo Health, Inc. is seeking an energetic Laboratory Technician - Extraction Focused to join our growing team in Minnesota. This role supports the manufacturing team in producing cannabis-based medicines and reports to the Laboratory Manager.

We value a one-team, one-dream mindset and a commitment to safety and quality. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of chemical processing experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in chemical processing and equipment use.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
• Able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds or more.
• Previous experience in medical cannabis industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform stripping, grinding, decarboxylation of cannabis materials.
• Perform CO2 extraction of cannabis materials.
• Perform de-waxing and concentrations of cannabis extracts.
• Perform dry sift and solventless extraction processes.
• Keep organised record of all procedures and results.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Keep a detailed laboratory log with dates and results.

What the role is about:

We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Laboratory Technician - Extraction Focused to join our growing dynamic team! The ideal candidate will be driven, innovative, compassionate, believe in the goodness of people and cannabis, and enjoys the one team, one dream motto! The Laboratory Technician - Extraction Focused will assist manufacturing team in the production of cannabis based medicines. This position reports directly to the Laboratory Manager.

What impact you’ll make:

• Perform stripping, grinding, decarboxylation of cannabis materials
• Perform CO2 extraction of cannabis materials
• Perform de-waxing and concentrations of cannabis extracts
• Perform dry sift and solventless extraction processes
• Keep organised record of all procedures and results
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Able to work independently as well as operating as a team
• Keeps a detailed laboratory log, dating and recording all tasks performed and relevant results
• Performs weekly safety checks of fire-extinguishing equipment, eyewash stations and shower stations. Attends safety meetings as required
• Perform other functions as necessary to provide an adequate supply of product to meet patient demand
• Able to setup, maintain and repair equipment
• Keep an inventory of production materials to ensure supply chain stability
• Provide feedback to improve process quality and efficiency
• Perform other tasks as requested

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years or older
• Associates Degree Preferred
• 3+ years of experience in chemical processing and equipment use
• Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally
• Able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds or more
• Attention to detail
• Previous experience in medical cannabis industry

• Compensation: $19.92/hour
