To perform duties related to the preparation, distribution, cataloging, and storage of lab specimens for testing. To follow departmental policies on specimen identification and quality controls. To utilize lab and hospital information systems. Provide administrative support such as filing, record maintenance, responding to client calls, and mail delivery.
Associate's degree in Biological Science or a health-related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Depending on the department or patient interaction, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required or obtained within 30 days of employment.
