Job description

Laboratory Technician 3 - Elkhart, IN, 46515

This is an entry-level position in a manufacturing group responsible for producing reagents for in-vitro diagnostic assays. Candidates with limited laboratory experience will be considered; those with industrial experience and GMP/ISO knowledge are preferred. Local candidates are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic and professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general laboratory support functions to maintain cleanliness, operation, and safety, including:
  • Supporting production operations with routine stocking, cleaning of manufacturing areas, and other lab duties
  • Supporting low-complexity manufacturing operations (buffer manufacturing) and equipment support (column maintenance, equipment cleaning)
  • Glassware washing
  • Monitoring material inventory
  • Collaborating with laboratory biochemists to order buffers to meet weekly schedules
  • Supporting buffer manufacturing as needed
  • Conducting 5S audits for cleanliness, maintenance, and organization

Qualifications include a high school diploma with strength in science and math or relevant work experience, or a B.S./B.A./A.S. in a relevant field. The ideal candidate will have good time management, interpersonal skills, strong communication, and attention to detail.
