Job summary

Aveka Group Inc seeks a Laboratory Technician to join our quality-focused team. You will conduct microbiological and chemical tests, maintain lab equipment, prepare samples for shipment, and document results.

You will support sanitation programs and assist in training entry-level staff to ensure compliance with quality standards. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Quality and/or Lab experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate well with production personnel and managers.
• Strong multitasker with some computer experience (Excel, Word).
• Able to work independently and safely with attention to detail.
• Good reading comprehension and writing skills for documentation.
• Ability to use problem-solving skills and apply continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of laboratory tasks and experiments.
• Maintain lab equipment and inventory levels of lab supplies.
• Make detailed observations, analyze data, and interpret results.
• Write experimental reports, summaries, and protocols; keep records.
• Troubleshoot and calibrate instruments as needed.
• Prepare samples for shipment to customers and outside labs.

• Pull samples for various products and ensure proper labeling.
• Wash and dry glassware and keep lab tidy.
• Participate in sanitation checks and monitor logs.
• Assist in training entry-level employees for QC protocols.
• Use UPS for labels and shipping samples when applicable.
