Job summary

BioTalent is seeking a Laboratory Technician, Process Development Downstream to support downstream development and purification of biologics in a fast-paced GMP setting.

The role involves hands-on operation of AKTA and TFF systems, buffer preparation, data collection, and meticulous documentation in cGMP-compliant notebooks. This is an on-site, full-time opportunity in Tustin, CA with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• AA in Life Sciences required.
• Relevant laboratory experience in a life sciences environment essential.
• Understanding of GMP requirements.
• Hands-on exposure to downstream process development and related laboratory tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and clean AKTA and TFF systems.
• Prepare buffers and laboratory solutions.
• Assist downstream processing and purification projects.
• Perform sample measurements using pH probes and conductivity probes.
• Analyze data and maintain laboratory notebooks in cGMP-compliant fashion.
• Support day-to-day laboratory operations and maintenance.
• Order and restock lab supplies.
• On-site in Tustin, CA.

Laboratory Technician, Process Development Downstream

Support the Development of Life-Saving Biopharmaceuticals

We're looking for a Laboratory Technician, Process Development Downstream to join a growing biopharmaceutical team supporting the development and optimization of biologics manufacturing processes.

What You'll Do

Set up, maintain, and clean AKTA and TFF systems

Prepare buffers and laboratory solutions

Assist with downstream processing activities and purification projects

Perform sample measurements using:

• pH Probes
• Conductivity Probes
• SoloVPE
• Other Process Development laboratory instruments

Support day-to-day laboratory operations and downstream process development activities

Assist with laboratory maintenance and organization

Order and restock laboratory consumables and supplies

Clean glassware and laboratory equipment

Support hazardous waste disposal activities

Analyze experimental data and prepare summary reports

Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and documentation

Follow cGMP documentation practices when required

What We're Looking For

Associate Degree (AA) in Life Sciences and relevant laboratory experience required.

Previous laboratory experience in a life sciences environment is essential.

Understanding of laboratory etiquette and GMP requirements.

Hourly Rate: $19.61 - $24.51 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Please Note

Full-time laboratory position

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Ability to work overtime and/or weekends when necessary
