Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking a Laboratory Technician onsite in Shreveport, LA to perform lab testing, quality assurance, fluid design support, and technical analysis. The role ensures products meet quality standards and supports service delivery while adhering to HSE and quality procedures.

This contract position lasts 12+ months with possible extension. The candidate will work rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights) on a 7/3 schedule and be paid $23 per hour on W2, with strict PPE and safety

Responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance testing on company products.

• Support additive selection and fluid design activities.
• Provide technical support to engineers and product teams.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is clean, calibrated, and operating correctly.
• Dispose of laboratory waste according to safety procedures.
• Prepare technical presentations for internal and external customers.
• Conduct regular laboratory audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Maintain communication with Client Support Labs and operating locations.
• Perform risk assessments before laboratory tasks to identify and mitigate safety or quality risks.
• Participate in Service Quality Meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow all HSE policies and quality procedures.
• Wear the required PPE.
• Complete all required safety training.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and on time.

Shift Timing

Candidates should be comfortable with a rotating schedule: 7/3, 7/4 rotating days and nights, 12-hour shifts.

• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts
• You will work both day and night shifts based on the schedule.
