Job description

Job Title: Laboratory Operations Technician

Location: Santa Clara, CA 95054

Duration: 06 months of Contract (with possible extension)

Job Description

• Support relocation of labs and offices from one facility to another.
• Unpack and reinstall equipment at the new site.
• Learn and execute moderately complex instrument operations, including shutdown procedures, installation procedures, qualification testing, and integration testing.
• Handle biohazardous liquid quality control materials and blood specimen tubes.
• Pack and unpack lab supplies and materials at lab, warehouse, and office locations.
• Follow and maintain compliance with Abbott and regulatory standards, including on-the-job and safety training.
• Complete quality documentation, such as service tickets and reports.

Required Skills / Expertise

• Physical ability to move equipment, machinery, and pack/unpack crates and boxes.
• Familiarity with engineering/scientific lab environments.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills.

Experience

• Entry-level position.
• 2-year college degree in engineering or sciences preferred.
• High school diploma with a STEM background acceptable.

Travel

Requires local travel between Santa Clara and Sunnyvale sites (approximately 4.5 miles).
