Job summary

Infobahn Softworld Inc. is seeking a hands-on prototyping and lab deployment specialist to assemble bench-top development platforms and large server systems in lab environments. You will deploy racks in data centers, connect power and networks, and bring systems up for testing.

The role involves mechanical reworks, CAD-based fixture design, 3D printing, and collaborating with engineers to refine prototypes and test setups. Strong tooling skills and lab experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering background or equivalent hands-on experience in lab/bench environments.
• Experience assembling and deploying server systems in bench and rack labs.
• Familiarity with CAD modeling and prototype fixture design is preferred.

Job description

Description: Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, build, and install bench top development platforms and large server systems in bench lab and rack lab.
• Deploy systems and racks in the data center, connect power, network and bring them up.
• Work on parts replacement projects for small and large volume deployments.
• Prepare boards for detailed solder reworks to be completed by another lab.
• Connect oscilloscope probes to boards and collect signal waveform data.
• Perform mechanical reworks involving power tools such as a Dremel.
• Design and produce CAD models and detailed drawings for custom test fixtures, with the ability to integrate designs into lab systems. Experience with Creo is preferred but not required.
• Support the development, modification, and refinement of prototype components and fixtures, incorporating feedback from engineers and technicians.
• Utilize 3D printing and other rapid prototyping methods to fabricate, adjust, and assemble CAD-designed parts. Proficiency with hand tools is highly desirable.
• Run laboratory tests on prototypes and make modifications as needed to improve functionality and performance.
• Familiarity with electrical wiring and basic system integration is a plus.
