Job summary

ForMotion is seeking a Lab Technician to support the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of prosthetic and orthotic devices under clinician supervision. You will ensure quality standards and maintain a clean, safe lab environment, while following safety procedures and working with standard O&P lab tools.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates basic orthotic/prosthetic devices as instructed.
• Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on devices and tools.
• Tests devices for movement, alignment, and basic stability.
• Completes assigned work orders accurately and on time.
• Maintains organized, clean lab workspace.
• Adheres to all safety and quality procedures.

About the Role

A ForMotion Lab Technician supports the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of prosthetic and orthotic devices according to prescription and under the guidance of certified clinicians. Ensures work meets quality standards and maintains a clean, safe work environment.

What You’ll Do

• Key Responsibilities: Fabricates basic orthotic/prosthetic devices as instructed. Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on devices and tools. Tests devices for movement, alignment, and basic stability. Completes assigned work orders accurately and on time. Maintains organized, clean lab workspace. Adheres to all safety and quality procedures.

Work Environment

Works in a professional office and laboratory setting. Regular use of standard office equipment and O&P lab tools (e.g., grinders, ovens, routers, hand/power tools). Physical demands include lifting up to 50+ lbs, dexterous hand use, standing, bending, and visual acuity (close, distance, color, depth perception).
