Zusammenfassung

Hirebridge LLC's Martinsburg, WV plant is seeking a Laboratory Technician to ensure lab equipment operates within specifications and to perform sampling and testing in accordance with current standards. You will interpret results, support manufacturing processes, maintain instruments, document tests, and work with other departments to resolve quality issues.

Strong communication and basic Excel skills are desirable.

Qualifikationen

• Requires an associate’s degree in Science or related field.
• Lab operation experience preferred.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with initiative for task completion.
• Demonstrated Excel Level 1 skills and basic data handling.

Aufgaben

• Performs tasks safely in conformance with plant rules, quality standards and policies.
• Performs sampling, preparation, testing and reporting.
• Interprets lab results and collaborates with Control Room Operators and plant personnel.
• Ensures laboratory equipment is functioning properly and safely.
• Ensures servicing and training requirements are completed for all equipment.
• Assists with physical and chemical testing as required.
• Reports results outside KPIs or ASTM/AASHTO specifications.
• Performs minor equipment adjustments as needed.
• Inspects equipment and prepares work orders.
• Uses LDMS, RMCS, Excel and other management tools.
• Disposes of chemicals and samples properly.
• Works with other departments to resolve quality issues.
• Inputs and reports operating statistics.
• Samples, splits, packages, and ships samples for third party testing.

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician in our Martinsburg, WV plant. The Laboratory Technician assures that all lab equipment is operating within designed specifications and sampling, lab testing is conducted according to the latest standards and procedures.

About the Role

• Performs all tasks in a safe and professional manner in conformance with Plant rules, Quality standards and Company Policies.
• Performs material sampling, sample preparation, testing and reporting
• Interprets laboratory test results in connection with manufacturing process and in doing so, collaborates with Control Room Operator(s) and other plant personnel
• Ensure all laboratory equipment is working properly, safely, yielding accurate test results.
• Ensures all servicing and training requirements are made for all laboratory equipment.
• Provides assistance and/or relief for physical & chemical testing as required.
• Reports any test results falling outside of KPIs or ASTM / AASHTO specifications.
• Performs minor adjustments to laboratory equipment as required.
• Inspects laboratory and quality control equipment on a regular basis and prepares work orders as required.
• Uses LDMS, RMCS, Excel and other computerized management tools.
• Ensures proper disposal of chemicals and samples.
• Works with other departments to solve quality related problems.
• Inputs and reports operating statistics.
• Samples, splits, packages, and ships samples for third party testing.

About You

• Three years of cement plant experience is preferred
• An associate’s degree in a Science or related field preferred.
• Lab operation experience preferred.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Self- motivated, with initiative for task completion.
• Demonstrated Excel Level 1 skills – entry test
• Demonstrated basic Match and Logic Skills – entry test
