Job summary

RADgov Inc. in Johnston, IA, is seeking a contingent Lab Technician to join our Biotechnology team. Under supervision, you will support plant tissue culture research, coordinate with team members, and help develop novel plant breeding methods.

Responsibilities include processing samples under sterile conditions, measuring and imaging results, coordinating sampling, and documenting details in standard software. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in biological sciences.
• Plant transformation experience in classroom or industry setting is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creating, executing, and scoring results supporting research team needs, including but not limited to: processing samples under sterile lab conditions
• Measuring, imaging, and analyzing experimental results
• Coordinating sampling and preparing of samples as needed
• Execute plant tissue culture work including aspects of plant transformation, plant propagation, and conduct analytical assays of plant tissue samples as needed.
• Work in and maintain a safe work environment; includes using aseptic, sterile techniques
• Document experimental details with ability to analyze data and interpret results
• Recording pertinent information in proprietary and standard software applications

Description:

We are world-class experts in plant breeding and biotechnology seeking to hire a contingent Lab Technician position within our Biotechnology team. This position supports a research team developing and evaluating novel plant breeding methods. With guidance from a supervisor, the successful candidate would support plant tissue culture research activities. This person will coordinate with various team members to accomplish such efforts.
