Job summary

Medasource is seeking a Laboratory Technician onsite in Ankeny, Iowa to support daily lab activities, lead general operations, housekeeping, and maintain a clean workspace. Responsibilities include receiving and labeling samples, maintaining labware inventory, and preparing buffers and reagents.

This contract position runs through January 2027 for the 1st shift (8am-5pm). Applicants should be able to troubleshoot and operate genotyping equipment and collaborate with manufacturing and research

Qualifications

• Experience in laboratory operations and maintaining a clean workspace.
• Ability to label and receive samples and manage labware inventory.
• Prepare buffers and reagents according to SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and operating equipment needed for genotyping.
• Reviewing and archiving task-related documents.
• Follow ESH guidelines, SOPs, and safety workflows.
• Manage multiple tasks and coordinate with multiple Supervisors.
• Interface with manufacturing and research personnel.

Job description

The ideal Individual will support daily activities in the laboratory as a Laboratory Technician onsite in Ankeny, Iowa by leading general operations, housekeeping, orderliness, and cleanliness of the workspace. Other duties will include receiving and labeling of incoming samples, maintaining and receiving sufficient labware inventory, as well as preparing buffers and reagents.

• Troubleshooting and operating equipment needed for genotyping Production will be needed.
• Reviewing and archiving task-related documents
• Understanding and following Employee Safety and Health (ESH) guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflow guidelines, and maintaining a safe work environment are needed.
• Being capable of managing multiple tasks, working effectively with more than one Supervisor
• Interfacing with other functions such as manufacturing and research personnel are encouraged

This is a contract position until end of January 2027 for 1st shift (8am-5pm)!
