Job summary

Actalent in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support our Life Sciences Research team, focusing on formulation and lab activities that advance regulatory and development efforts.

The role involves routine lab tasks, GLP/ISO compliance, sample preparation, materials handling, and meticulous documentation of work in SOPs, all in a fully onsite contract-to-hire setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a laboratory setting.
• Understanding of GLP, ISO, and other regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to ensure that the facilities are properly maintained in accordance with GLP, ISO, and other required regulations, including laboratory housekeeping, receiving and putting away supplies, cleaning glassware, and inventory of assigned items.
• Prepare and handle formulations in a variety of vehicles.
• Manage shipping and receiving of supplies.
• Prepare chemistry samples for analysis utilizing a variety of wet chemical techniques in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety policies.
• Work on assignments that are routine in nature under supervision and guidance of more experienced staff.
• Ensure proper documentation of all work following GLP guidelines.
• Work with hazardous materials and chemicals under chemical hygiene and laboratory safety requirements.

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
