THOM Thomas Hospitals in Charleston, WV, is seeking a phlebotomy/lab assistant to perform basic laboratory functions, specimen processing, and clerical support in a patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities include specimen collection, processing, testing assistance, quality control, and timely reporting of results, with emphasis on accuracy and efficient workflow. The role requires operating lab equipment, managing reagents, and coordinating daily tasks to ensure quality patient care.
Perform basic laboratory functions including specimen processing, customer service, and data entry procedures in support of the hospital's mission of patient care. Collect, process, store and transport blood, body fluids and tissue specimens. Perform clerical functions such as faxing, copying and mailing of reports and answering the phones professionally.
