Located in Largo, in the heart of Prince George’s County, our new state-of-the-art, level 2 trauma center (UM Capital Region Medical Center) provides improved access to primary and ambulatory care services and serves as a tertiary care center for critically ill patients. Our new space will also allow us to expand our offerings as a community partner to improve the health of Prince George’s County residents.
We’re seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team at UM Capital. Our affiliation with the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) has created new career pathways, making this an excellent time to join us.
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Section Supervisor, performs ordering, procurement, receiving, and processing of patient specimens. This role requires practical and theoretical knowledge of phlebotomy procedures. Patient contact and specimens may include all age groups from infants to adults and geriatrics.
