SGS North America Inc. is seeking a senior analytical chemist leader to evaluate chemical and physical properties for consumer product testing. The role leads the team in analytical techniques and data interpretation, with hands-on leadership and substantial lab oversight.
The position emphasizes training, client communication, and ensuring quality certificates of analysis. A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related fields plus extensive laboratory experience are required.

Evaluates the chemical and physical properties of various organic and inorganic substances for consumer product testing purposes. Independently conducts sample analysis of different complexity, preparation, extraction, and digestion with and without the use of instrumentation following official methods and laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Serves as a technical resource for Chemists. Leads the team in analytical techniques and analysis of data. Has limited responsibility for employees (trains new staff). Hand-on leader 50% or more works as Chemist.
